Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat has released an official notification for the recruitment of Assistant Professor Grade-II (Level 10) in various engineering departments. This recruitment offers a great opportunity for candidates with a Ph.D. degree, strong academic background, and dedication to teaching and research. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website www.svnit.ac.in from 23 January 2026 to 06 March 2026 (till 5:00 PM).
As per the notification, a total of 5 posts are available in the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. All selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level 10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
The eligibility criteria, required experience, credit points, and other service conditions will be as per Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statutes published in the Gazette of India (24 July 2017 and 12 June 2023) and updated by the Ministry of Education. Candidates must meet the required Ph.D. specialization mentioned in Annexure II on the institute website. Applicants under OBC (NCL) or EWS category must submit a valid certificate issued on or after 1 April 2025.
Applications will be screened based on essential qualifications and specialization. The institute may adopt a suitable method for shortlisting candidates for interview.
